Current Opportunities

Positions are headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Much of the work is being done in Southeast Denver, providing an opportunity to report to the job sites in the Denver area. Occasional commuting to Colorado Springs is required for some projects and team meetings.

Landscape Designer

Hiner Outdoor Living is an award-winning landscape architecture and construction firm dedicated to letting people relax and relieve the stresses of the day, outside. Founded in 2008, we focus on quality, customer satisfaction, creativity, and creating beautiful, functional, award-winning landscapes that inspire our clientele to get outside.

We are currently seeking a Landscape Designer to join our growing team. We offer a competitive compensation package for this role, including a starting base pay between $60,000–$75,000 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a Simple IRA retirement plan, profit sharing, paid time off (PTO), and a company cell phone.

    • A degree in landscape architecture or landscape design;

    • 3+ years of experience in a landscape design role;

    • Proficiency in landscape design principles, including knowledge of plant materials, layout and aesthetics;

    • Understanding of plants, plant materials and landscaping techniques;

    • Proficiency in using software for creating proposals, quotes, and maintaining records and a willingness to learn new software;

    • Proficiency in CAD and/or landscape design software and experience creating and presenting design plans.

    • Developing landscape designs based on client needs and site analysis;

    • Creating detailed planting plans and layouts using design software;

    • Collaborating with senior designers and architects on project specifications;

    • Preparing presentations and visual materials for client meetings;

    • Researching and recommending plants, materials, and landscaping techniques;

    • Assisting with project budgeting and cost estimation;

    • Maintaining project documentation and schedules;

    • Other duties as assigned.

Landscaping Sales Specialist

Hiner Outdoor Living, an award-winning landscape architecture and construction firm, is hiring for a Landscaping Sales Specialist to join our growing Sales team. Founded in 2008, Hiner Outdoor Living is in the business of letting people relax and relieve the stresses of the day, outside. Our focus is on quality, customer satisfaction, creativity, and creating beautiful, functional, award-winning landscapes that inspire our clientele to get outside.

    • A base pay of $50,000 to $60,000 annually depending on experience

    • A proven track record of sales experience in the landscaping or construction industry;

    • Strong sales and negotiation skills and a demonstrated sales mentality;

    • Consulting with clients to understand their landscaping vision, preferences, and functional requirements, including conducting on-site meetings with clients;

Field Superintendent

Hiner builds high-end outdoor living across southern Colorado. Water features, custom hardscapes, outdoor kitchens, full backyard transformations. As we grow, we need one person who owns how the field runs, across every crew and every job, so the quality never slips no matter how much we’re building.

    • $80k to $95k salary, depending on experience.

    • You’ve run multiple crews and coordinated subcontractors, not just led one crew.

    • You know how to hold a trade partner accountable without torching the relationship.

    • You read plans, see problems coming, and make the call in the field.

    • And you take full ownership, because nobody’s going to hover over your shoulder on this one.

    • Run field execution across all our crews and jobsites.

    • Manage our subcontractors start to finish, scheduling the trades in the right order, holding them to our standard, and keeping scope and margin tight.

    • Set the bar for how a Hiner jobsite runs and enforce it.

    • Keep projects on schedule, solve the problems that cross between crews, and develop our foremen into stronger leaders.
